ETHYL GALLATE

Ethyl Gallate is a food additive with E number E313. It is the ethyl ester of Gallic acid. It is added to food as an antioxidant.

  1. Description : White to off- white crystalline powder, odorless
  2. Solubility : Very slightly soluble in water, freely soluble in ethanol (96 per cent). It dissolves in dilute solutions of alkali hydroxides
